The Safer Internet Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina supports the global call: No To Nudify

The Safer Internet Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina has joined a global initiative and signed a joint statement calling for the urgent ban of so-called AI nudification tools — technologies used to digitally “remove clothing” and generate fake nude images without consent.

The statement is supported and signed by a total of 108 organizations, institutions, and experts worldwide, with the aim of protecting children and young people from the growing risks of online abuse, sexual exploitation, and digital violence.

Nudifying tools pose a serious threat to the dignity, safety, and mental well-being of children and young people, and contribute to the spread of blackmail, extortion, and gender-based violence. We believe that such technologies have no place in a society committed to protecting children’s rights and ensuring a safe digital environment.

As part of the global call, we join the demands addressed to governments, lawmakers, and technology companies to:

  • ban the development and distribution of nudification tools,
  • ensure accountability for all those who enable their use,
  • introduce effective safeguards within AI systems,
  • and strengthen digital literacy among children, parents, and professionals.

The full joint statement is available here.

We call on all institutions, organizations, and citizens to join collective efforts for a safer internet and the protection of children in the digital environment.
