CHAT AND INSTANT MESSAGES

Texting your friends can be fun but sometimes people use phones to send nasty messages and insult others. Messages that can insult you can be sent by both people you know and you don’t know. It is best to not reply to those messages. If you receive a message that upsets you, you should immediately talk to an adult you can trust.  Remember that you have to be responsible when texting and never send anything that could insult others.

SENDING PHOTOS ONLINE

Never send your photos to people you don’t know in real life- even if you talked to them online and think you know them well enough. You can never know who they really are.  If the person you don`t know asks from you to send him/her photo, you should tell that to the adult you trust imminently.

REMEMBER

You should never give your phone number to the persons you don’t know in real life. Some people you meet online can easily lie about who they are to get private information about you such as your phone number, address, name of your school etc. Remember that people you know only online are still strangers. Never meet with people you know only online or talk to your parent, guardian or other adult that you can trust.
