For the purposes of the project „Preventing and Tackling Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse in Bosnia & Herzegovina” implemented by UNICEF, Save the Children and IFS-EMMAUS (BiH Child Protection Consortium), IFS-EMMAUS hiring the Communications and Advocacy Expert with relevant experience.

The task of the Expert will be to develop, advise and guide communications activities for improved Safer Internet Center services provision to children, parents, teachers, stakeholders and general public and exchange of appropriate messages with target audience, in close cooperation with IFS-EMMAUS staff within the agreed timeframe.

REQUIRED EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum expertise and skills required:

  • As a minimum; a university degree in media relations, journalism, international relations or related studies;
  • At least 2 years of experience in the implementation of similar tasks, with a proven professional record in working in the field  of  media  and  communication,  with  media channels  and  online communications platforms;
  • Fluency in English is a requirement;
  • Experience    in    the usage    of    media    technology,    social    media    for    public information/advocacy, and good knowledge and experience in handling of web-based management systems;
  • Experience  at  the  national  or  international  level  in  public  relations,  communications  or advocacy would be desirable but not a requirement;
  • Additional expertise related to the protection of children from abuse through ICT would be desirable but not a requirement;
  • Ability to produce a wide range of communication supports, including infographics, presentations, videos, and layouts for both web and print;
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Interested candidates must prepare and submit a bid (with attachments) in English and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian in response to the above specific tasks. The bid must include the following:

  1. Cover letter explaining why you are the most suitable candidate for this assignment;
  2. Bidding response with a financial offer, which need to include an implementation concept and work plan, as well as daily fee for service and number of days;
  3. CV (maximum three pages) specifying the relevant experience and at least 2 references.
