Comprehensive approach to resolve child pornography in BiH

Child pornography, as a global criminal activity, is being mostly practiced and spread through the Internet, and is one of the most familiar forms of sexual abuse of children and adolescents in contemporary society. As such, child pornography in Bosnia and Herzegovina is becoming an increasing problem as well. Exploitation of children for the production, distribution, possession and display of pornographic material, whose participants are children themselves, is one of the worst forms of child abuse. Children are victims of violence through the actual production of these types of materials, and through each subsequent display of such materials they are re-victimized and re-experience the traumatic experience, which reduce their psychological recovery and successful reintegration into society.

In the period from 1 October 2009. until today, the Association "International Forum of Solidarity - EMMAUS", in cooperation with the Ministry of Security, Oak Foundation and Save the Children Norway has implementing the project "A comprehensive approach to resolving the problem of child pornography", whose main goal is to prevent child pornography and other forms of sexual abuse and exploitation of children in the country through information and communication technologies.
